Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships 2025: Documents Required

Individuals who want to apply for Vanier scholarships in Canada must have all of the following documents.

A ResearchNet application form.
Two reference letters.
A CV/Resume.
The research contributions are not more than one page.
A personal statement that depicts the leadership qualities of the candidate.
Two leadership reference letters.
A research proposal of a maximum of two pages.
Project preferences of a maximum of five pages.
Academic proofs, transcripts, and certificates.
Proof of unique circumstances for a part-time student. The proof may not exceed 0.5 pages.

You should intend to pursue full-time doctoral (or a joint graduate program such as MD/PhD, DVM/PhD, JD/PhD) studies and research at the nominating institution during the summer semester or the academic year after the announcement of results. Only the PhD element of a combined degree is eligible for financing. Applicants must not hold or have held a doctorate-level grant or fellowship from CIHR, NSERC, or SSHRC to pursue or finish a doctoral degree.
You should have received a first-class average from your institution in each of the last two years of full-time study or equivalent. Candidates are urged to inquire about the institution’s concept of a first-class average.

How to apply for Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships

The applicant cannot apply directly for Vanier Scholarships 2024.
Candidates must first apply to institutions with Vanier’s CGS quotas.
The applicants must be nominated by their institution for the scholarship.
The applications must be submitted before the internal submission deadline. Each school has a unique internal submission date.
The nominating institute then forwards the nominees to the Vanier CGS program before the closing date.
